PLAY

PLAY, from Brian King and George Cartwright. All 4 tracks of this EP were taken from a live session on April 3, 2022 with George on tenor sax and Brian on drums and vibes.

In an attempt to flesh out the improvised material, to create more of a compositional framework, several parts were added to include piano and bass. The design is intended to support the original duet performance – at times synchronized to double a part or phrase and at other times creating variations in contrast to the original performance.
